Despite these measures, no internet-based data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. jlvs encourages all Members to maintain strong, unique passwords and to enable 2FA to further protect their accounts.

Data Retention

jlvs retains personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the specific purpose for which it was collected, subject to the following considerations:

  • Active Accounts: Personal data associated with active jlvs accounts is retained throughout the period of your membership.
  • Closed Accounts: Following voluntary account closure or termination, jlvs retains transaction records, KYC documentation, and account history for a minimum of five (5) years in compliance with the Anti-Money Laundering Act of the Philippines and related AMLC regulations.
  • Support Records: Live chat transcripts and email correspondence are retained for a period of three (3) years for dispute resolution purposes.
  • Technical Logs: Server logs and access logs are retained for a rolling period of twelve (12) months and then purged, unless specific log data is being preserved in connection with an active investigation or dispute.
  • Marketing Data: Where you have opted in to promotional communications, we retain the record of that consent and associated communications history until you opt out, after which we retain only a suppression record to prevent inadvertent re-subscription.

Upon expiry of applicable retention periods, personal data is securely deleted from jlvs systems or irreversibly anonymized such that it can no longer be attributed to an identified individual.

Children's and Minors' Privacy

jlvs strictly prohibits registration and use of the Platform by individuals under 21 years of age. This is both a legal requirement under PAGCOR's age eligibility guidelines and an absolute jlvs platform policy. jlvs does not knowingly collect personal data from individuals below the age of 21.

Where personal data is transferred outside the Philippines, jlvs ensures that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect that data to a standard consistent with the requirements of the Philippine Data Privacy Act.
